Doctors have found the growth on conductor James Levine 's kidney to be malignant, according to a statement released yesterday by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The maestro, who was hospitalized July 15 for surgery to remove a growth on his kidney, has been released from the hospital. (The BSO isn't saying what hospital.)
