Ashton Kutcher has started working as an assistant American football coach.

The 'What Happens in Vegas' star - who is married to actress Demi Moore and helps raise her three daughters from her marriage to Bruce Willis - was interviewed for the role at Los Angeles' Harvard-Westlake School, according to Head of Athletics Audrius Bardzukas.

Audrius said: "In his interview, I asked Ashton why he wanted to coach. He said he's a dad, he has three daughters, and none of them are into sports. He loves football, and he said he'd always wanted to coach."

In his new role, Ashton - who played American football as a youngster - will attend practice sessions five days a week, and has already had a hand in the team's success, helping them to 21 points to 12 victory in their first game.

Audrius added to People magazine: "He's put in the time to learn our schemes and systems, and so far he's been a pleasant surprise as a coach. He's a great communicator."

Audrius also revealed Ashton, 30, is being paid for the position, adding: "We don't have volunteer coaches, but I can tell you he's not in it for the money."
