Overpaid actors

After some figuring, Forbes has come up with a list of the most overpaid actors and actresses in Hollywood. Comparing stars's salaries with the earnings of their films at the box-office, Forbes concludes that Nicole Kidman is the least bankable star in Tinseltown. She's followed by Ben Affleck's bride Jennifer Garner, whose big-budget films "The Kingdom" and "Catch and Release" have underperformed badly. For every dollar Garner was paid to star in the 2006 romantic comedy "Catch and Release," for example, the film earned 34 cents. Others on the list include Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell, and Cate Blanchett. (Forbes.com)

Kenny Chesney, the Country Music Association's reigning entertainer of the year, dominated the CMA Award nominations yesterday with seven, including album of the year. Chesney was also nominated for entertainer of the year again, a category he has won for the past two years. Other nominees for the award included Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, George Strait, and Sugarland. (AP)
