'Musical' tops rivals

For a second straight week, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" was the No. 1 film at US and Canadian theaters, taking in $15 million. The R-rated "Saw V" dropped to third place from second last week, earning $10.1 million. Director Clint Eastwood's "Changeling" moved into wide release and took in $9.41 million, placing fourth for the weekend. (AP)

Marathon man

It's been a busy fall for actor Ryan Reynolds. First, he married actress Scarlett Johansson and yesterday finished the ING New York City Marathon. "I'm still standing. I'm very excited about that," he told reporters after crossing the finish line in 3 hours and 50 minutes. Reynolds says he was motivated to keep going by one special spectator. "When I saw Michael J. Fox on Fifth Avenue, I gained about 15 pounds in goose bumps," said Reynolds, who ran for Team Fox in honor of his father, Jim Reynolds, who's suffered from Parkinson's disease for 15 years.
