Singer salutes Obama
Black Eyed Peas frontman will. i.am debuted his new music video celebrating President-elect Barack Obama's victory on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" yesterday. While the Grammy-winning artist performed "It's a New Day" at the Chicago studio, a video featuring photos of Obama, his family, Winfrey, and the Rev. Jesse Jackson from Chicago's Election Night rally played on a giant screen behind him. The video also shows black and white photographs of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Harriet Tubman. (AP)

Comedian and rapper Katt Williams is facing six weapons charges after police pulled him over for driving without a license plate. Williams, 37, pleaded not guilty and was released on $250,000 bail in time for his Thursday night show at Carnegie Hall. He told the audience that he "just got out of jail." Police said they found two semiautomatics and a loaded clip in the SUV and a 9mm pistol and two magazines in the van. (AP)

Prince ordered to pay
A judge has awarded nearly $58,000 to a man who claims Prince failed to pay him for editing work and unreturned equipment. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregory Alarcon issued the judgment after conducting a brief trial last month that included testimony from the video editor, Ian C. Lewis, who was seeking $1 million in damages. (AP)

A girl named Willow
"Eagle Eye" star Michelle Monaghan and her husband, Peter White, have welcomed a baby girl named Willow Katherine in Los Angeles. Willow, born Wednesday, is the couple's first child. (AP)
