There's a poignant scene in Mickey Rourke's new movie "The Wrestler" in which the formerly famous strong man signs autographs at a fan fest and almost no one shows up. Such was not the case at Super Megafest, held this weekend at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. A flier for the event advertised a who's who of has-beens, including former Monkees Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork, Bond bad guy actor Richard "Jaws" Kiel, ex-professional wrestler Bruno Sammartino, Leslie Nielsen of "Naked Gun" fame, and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star Jonathan Frakes, who's married to Genie Francis of "General Hospital."
Sweetheart of a shot
Annie Leibovitz has trained her lens on a certain Brazilian supermodel many times. But what her bosses at Vanity Fair really covet is a cover pic of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady. "I've never worked with Tom, but Gisele is such a sweetheart," the celebrated shutterbug told us. "[VF editor Graydon Carter] wants them - the two of them, just him, just her. . . Any way we can get them, we'll take them." As Leibovitz's new book makes clear, there aren't many celebs she hasn't shot over her illustrious career. Called "Annie Leibovitz At Work," the book includes more than a few of her affecting portraits of famous folk, from Meryl Streep and Arnold Schwarzenegger to Cate Blanchett and Queen Elizabeth II. Leibovitz, who'll be at the First Parish Church in Cambridge tonight, won't dish on her most difficult subject, but she did give us a hint. "Reality is totally distorted for people who were famous as children," she said. "If you're not socialized, you're your own breed." (Michael Jackson maybe?) Leibovitz also told us she was bewildered by the kerfuffle over the Vogue cover featuring Bundchen and LeBron James, a pic some claimed perpetuated racial stereotypes. "I was just trying to get action from them," she said. "Anna Wintour wasn't happy with the attention." So what's Leibovitz's secret? "I don't say 'smile,' " she said. "I equate that with something that isn't real."Honored couple

Joe Kane is forever young. The brother and business partner of Estate owner Ed Kane celebrated his 29th annual 21st birthday party at the Back Bay club this weekend.
