Singer hospitalized
Amy Winehouse is being treated at the London Clinic following a reaction to medication. Spokesman Chris Goodman said Winehouse was admitted on Sunday. He declined to identify the medication that caused the reaction. The 25-year-old Grammy winner has a history of drug problems and has been in and out of hospitals this year. (AP)Bad-sex symbol
It's not quite the Nobel Prize, but John Updike has a new literary accolade: laureate of bad sex. Updike, who has a long and graphic history of detailing coupling on the page, won a lifetime achievement award yesterday from judges of Britain's Bad Sex in Fiction Prize, which celebrates crude, tasteless, or ridiculous sexual passages in modern literature.
