Keeping the 'Feud' all in the family

There was a funny moment during the "Family Feud" segment of Kevin Youkilis's Hits for Kids fund-raiser Saturday night at Mohegan Sun. Asked to ID the sexiest New York Yankees, Sox skipper Terry Francona rang in with Jorge Posada. The Sox skipper's wife, Jacque, offered Johnny Damon, and Tito's daughters answered with Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Hideki Matsui. (The right answer? There's no such thing as a sexy Yankee.) The benefit for Youk's charity included an auction and a three-song acoustic set by the evening's surprise musical guest Bronson Arroyo. (The former Sox pitcher played a decent version of Oasis's "Wonderwall.") Auction items generating the most interest - and the most money - included an electric guitar signed by Jon Bon Jovi, a round of golf with Mark Wahlberg, and a week of training with Youkilis at Athletes' Performance in Arizona. Guests at the shindig included Wahlberg's brother Jimmy, Davios owner Steve DiFillippo, host Marc Summers, MC Mike O'Malley, FOX25's Sara Underwood, and 451 Marketing's A.J. Gerritson.

Babak Bina and Azita Bina-Seibel, the Iranian-born brother and sister behind Beacon Hill's popular Lala Rokh restaurant, hosted a party to celebrate the opening of their new place: Bina Osteria and Bina Alimentari, located at the intersection of Washington and Avery streets. Wishing the siblings well were Pops conductor Keith Lockhart and wife Emiley Zalesky, Longwood Events CEO Jim Apteker and wife Alina, city councilor Mike Ross, NStar CEO Tom May, stylist Mario Russo, the mayor's arts and tourism maven Tony Nunziante, and chefs Dante de Magistris, Aura's Rachel Klein, and Toro's Jamie Bissonette. . . . Congrats to NECN sports anchor Chris Collins and wife Georgia, who welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Savannah Joy.

Former Pats lineman Joe Andruzzi and his wife, Jen, are hosting a fund-raiser in Foxborough tonight for a cause near and dear to the couple. Dubbed "New England Celebrities Tackle Cancer," the event at Christina's will support cancer research and also provide financial aid for cancer patients. Andruzzi, who won three rings with the Pats, was diagnosed 18 months ago with Burkitt's lymphoma, an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He's been in remission for eight months. The guests tonight includes Don Rodman, Chris Spinazzola, Dan Kraft, and Pats players past and present such as Pete Brock, Steve Grogan, Andre Tippett, Larry Izzo, Dan Koppen, and Mike Vrabel. . . . Meanwhile, prior to yesterday's game, Pats lineman Matt Light was given the President's Volunteer Service Award by deputy White House press secretary Tony Fratto and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Steve Preston.

Sometimes referred to as "cosmic consultants," Stella Starsky and Quinn Cox are A-list astrologers, a divining duo whose clients have included the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Isaac Mizrahi, and Angelina Jolie. Last spring, the pair popped up in the People's Republic of Cambridge to support their "Harry Potter" pal J.K. Rowling at the author's commencement speech at Harvard. This week, they'll be in Provincetown, performing three shows at the Vixen. (Called "Starsky + Cox - Troll the Ancient Yule," the hipster horoscopists' holiday-themed show runs Thursday-Saturday.) And you never know who'll show up at a Starsky + Cox affair. Parker Posey, Maria Lopez, Michael Cunningham, and Princess Caroline have all caught their act.

Whatever became of "The Box," the horror flick featuring Cameron Diaz that was partially shot in Boston last winter? Directed by "Donnie Darko" darling Richard Kelly, "The Box" was due to be released in March, but now it's been pushed all the way back to November 2009. Not a good sign. In addition to Diaz, the cast includes James Marsden and Frank Langella. . . . What do reggae legends Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, and Frederick "Toots" Hibbert have in common? All consented to be photographed by shutterbug Peter Simon, and their pictures appear in Simon's book "Reggae Scrapbook." Wednesday, Peter, whose sister is singer Carly Simon, will give a PowerPoint presentation at Johnny D's all about his experiences in Jamaica.

Curt Schilling is WEEI.com's latest hire. The pitcher will provide content to the website as well as the WEEI Radio Network, and WEEI.com is the new home of Schilling's 38pitches.com blog. "Looking beyond baseball I knew I would continue to blog," Schilling said in a statement. "If this was indeed my last season, I wanted a forum that would allow me to talk about things beyond baseball, while at the same time being connected to people with a passion for the game." Schilling will also do live game-day blogging for six Sox games next season.
