Jim Braude, Boston radio and TV host

Braude tends to obsess about music, listening to artists over and over on his iPod during his commute to and from stations. His current pick: soulful pianist and singer John Legend. "I can't tell you why I love John Legend, but I know that I do," he said. "I bounce from obsession to obsession. I like to have eclectic taste." Every weekday, Braude drives from his home in Cambridge to the WTKK studios in Dorchester, where he cohosts a three-hour news show with Margery Eagan on WTKK (96.9 FM). From there he heads to NECN in Newton to helm "NewsNight." When he gets in the car, he plugs in his iPod. "I will play one album 25 times in a row," he said. "Last week I was playing 'How Sweet It Is' by Marvin Gaye."

1. "If I Should Fall Behind," Bruce Springsteen

2. "Thunder Road," Bruce Springsteen

3. "Stand By Me," John Lennon
