Stars pay respects at actress's wake

Liam Neeson looked distraught yesterday as he greeted grieving family members and friends who attended a private viewing in New York for his wife, Natasha Richardson. Neeson and sons Micheal, 13, and Daniel, 12, attended the wake at the Upper East Side's American Irish Historical Society, as did Richardson's mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and sister, Joely Richardson. Also attending were Mike Nichols, Diane Sawyer, Matthew Modine, Ralph Fiennes, and Uma Thurman. Richardson, 45, died Wednesday at Lenox Hill Hospital after falling on a beginners slope at a ski resort in Quebec. (AP)

Pilot gets two books
William Morrow says it plans to publish the first of two books with hero pilot Chesley B. Sullenberger III late this year. Topics will include his boyhood, his military service, and, of course, his "Miracle on the Hudson" experiences. Sullenberger safely ditched his US Airways plane in New York's Hudson River on Jan. 15 after its engines were disabled by geese. All 155 people aboard survived. (AP)

Eminem, Page to be Rock Hall presenters
Rapper Eminem, guitar legend Jimmy Page, and Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones are among the presenters for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The ceremony will be held April 4 at Public Auditorium in Cleveland. Run-DMC will be inducted by Eminem, Jeff Beck will be inducted by Page, and Wood will induct Bobby Womack. Metallica will be inducted by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Little Anthony & the Imperials will be inducted by Smokey Robinson. (AP)

Ellen: O cover girl
Oprah Winfrey offered to share the cover of O magazine with Ellen DeGeneres, and DeGeneres - who's been campaigning for the spot - has accepted. Winfrey surprised DeGeneres with a video telephone call on yesterday's episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Winfrey had gone solo on the cover of O magazine for nine years before sharing the spot with first lady Michelle Obama. (AP)
