Party girl Tila Tequila was haunted by the ghosts of girlfriends past in Quincy on Sunday night. The pinup model and former MTV reality star was unpleasantly surprised when Lisa Rizzo and Michelle Hart, two former contestants on Tequila's bisexual dating show "A Shot at Love," arrived during her scheduled appearance at the Marina Bay Beach Club and asked to see her. Tequila was quick to say no to the reunion, and spent the night in a VIP booth above the dance floor, far from her former temptresses. Tequila did some dancing for the Marina Bay crowd, but was mostly sedentary. "I just danced for like two seconds just now and I'm like out of breath," she told us. "I think something's wrong with me." Perhaps it was the previous night's shindig at Foxwoods that tuckered Tila out. She spent her Saturday night at the opening of Ed and Joe Kane's new casino nightclub, Scorpion Bar. Also at the Foxwoods Scorpion Bar party was Godsmack singer Sully Erna and former Patriots player Christian Fauria with his wife, Rhonda.
Au revoir, Aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui, the fine dining establishment at the Four Seasons, is closing. The hotel reported yesterday that the upscale restaurant's last day will be June 27. Starting in July, the space will be used for private functions. "Guests and locals alike want more relaxed options for exceptional dining experiences," hotel general manager Bill Taylor said in a statement. "We will continue to provide that exceptional experience at the Bristol Lounge, while increasing the options for one-of-a-kind functions and private parties, done only as Four Seasons can do them." Aujourd'hui has long been a magnet for celebrity foodies. Visitors in recent years have included Mick Jagger, Carly Simon, and John Mellencamp. That said, even the A-listers prefer casual restaurants these days. Four Seasons spokeswoman Kristan Fletcher tells us that famous folks including recent visitor Jennifer Garner tend to choose the Bristol Lounge over Aujourd'hui. "Even when they have the money," Fletcher said, "they go downstairs."
Affleck handicapped?
Speaking of Garner . . . we're starting to believe that her husband, Ben Affleck, is a terrible, terrible golfer. According to a notice posted by C.P. Casting, Billy Dowd, who is hiring actors for Affleck's locally shot recession drama "The Company Men," is on the hunt for an "excellent golfer who is also a look-alike/photo-double for Ben Affleck 6'2", 190, dark hair, etc." The casting notice says Dowd will not be fooled by aspiring actors who are subpar on the green. "Do not embarrass yourself by submitting if you're not really good at golf and look like, and have the same height and build as Ben Affleck," the notice clearly states. You may remember that back in April, Affleck was spotted at McGolf in Dedham trying to improve his swing before filming "The Company Men" scenes at the Gannon Municipal Golf Course in Lynn. Affleck was tutored that day by Boston College coach Trevor Drum. Could it be that Drum couldn't do enough for Affleck's game, which is why the Cambridge-bred actor needs a stand-in? "The Company Men" crew is set to return to the Gannon golf course next week. For the record, Affleck's pal Matt Damon also took lessons before filming his golf flick "The Legend of Bagger Vance." It was reported that Damon trained so hard for the film, he cracked a rib. How very Jason Bourne of him.
Baby talk
Mrs. Tom Brady, a.k.a. Gisele Bundchen, hasn't confirmed her rumored pregnancy, but the possibility of the supermodel carrying our QB's child has spawned a number of amusing headlines in the blogosphere. Our favorites from the weekend? RadarOnline, which first reported the news, went for "Touchdown! Gisele Bundchen Pregnant!" TMZ followed with "Gisele Bundchen with super child?" A blog called Slacker Chic went for dry and obvious with "Gisele Bundchen is Pregnant. With a baby." Our favorite was from Splash News Online, which posted the headline: "Sorry Patriots fans!"
Dining Nantucket style
Todd English hosted two VIP dinners at his new Nantucket restaurant, Figs at 29 Fair. Guests included food maven Dun Gifford, Channel 2's Russ and Marian Morash, and English's Figs at 29 partners, Danielle deBenedictis and her husband, developer Peter Karlson. English's staff for the night included his three kids; Isabella waited tables, Simon washed dishes, and Oliver, who studies hospitality at Cornell University, kept guests comfy as they waited for tables.
In Vegas, Kaling gets the party started
Mindy Kaling, of "The Office," kicked off her 30th birthday celebration a month early. The Cambridge native, whose birthday is June 24, spent Saturday night partying with pals from Dartmouth College at the Las Vegas nightclub LAVO. Chazz Palminteri, New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey, and Larenz Tate of "Rescue Me," who happened to be dining at the restaurant that night, also joined the party. (Shockey was reportedly rushed to a Vegas hospital later Saturday night to be treated for dehydration, but LAVO reps tell us the athlete seemed perfectly healthy at Kaling's shindig). Kaling updated her fans on Twitter all weekend about her Vegas trip, including her sighting of girl-next-door Holly Madison. "i kept thinking, what's a single, universally-relatable thing I could talk to her about? later realized it's that we both dated Hugh hefner," Kaling jokingly tweeted. Kaling has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. She recently scored a seven-figure deal with NBC to write and star in her own show, and her most recent movie, the "Night at the Museum" sequel, in which she appears as a docent, was No. 1 at the box office this weekend. In a recent interview, the funny girl told us she planned to celebrate her real birthday at home with family in Boston.
Around town
Funny guy Rob Schneider, in town to film the movie "Grown Ups" with Adam Sandler and Kevin James, stopped by Kings bowling alley over the weekend. As you can see, he agreed to make funny faces and sign pins. . . . Sandler, who was at the Sox game Saturday night, also stopped at Quincy Market during the holiday weekend to treat his daughter Sadie Madison to ice cream at Quincy's Place, formerly known as Slugger's Dugout. Sandler reportedly left a $10 tip. Sandler was spotted later in the weekend hailing a Boston Pedicab with his family. . . . Tommy Lee Jones, in town to film "The Company Men" with Ben Affleck, is not always a creature of habit. The actor, who has been spotted visiting Legal Sea Foods meal-after-meal, recently dined at Mistral.
