A lawsuit filed by Activision may keep Jack Black from becoming a video game character. Activision Entertainment Holdings has sued game developer Double Fine Productions to try to stop the release of Brutal Legend by rival Electronic Arts. The lawsuit says Double Fine failed to deliver Brutal Legend on time. The suit also says the firm then offered the completed game to EA. Brutal Legend, scheduled for release in October, features Black as a heavy-metal roadie transported to a mythical world to fight evil. (AP)

Nude photo auctioned
A revealing photograph of France's first lady, Carla Bruni, was bought for $19,600 by an anonymous bidder yesterday at a Berlin auction house. The image is one of 10 prints of a nude Bruni captured by American fashion photographer Pamela Hanson in 1994. Bruni is a former model. (AP)

'Wall St.' follow-up
Shia LaBeouf confirmed he will appear in "Money Never Sleeps," director Oliver Stone's follow-up to "Wall Street." LaBeouf will star opposite Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar for his role in the original 1987 film. Filming begins in August, an experience LaBeouf says should be like taking a college course - he says he has "no concept" of the ins and outs of the financial world. (AP)
