Alesha Dixon's talk show hopes

Alesha Dixon wants to be Oprah Winfrey.

The British singer has a huge amount of respect for the US talk show host, and would love to branch out into TV at some point in her career.

She said: "My music idol is Beyonce Knowles and my TV idol is Oprah. I love Oprah and want to be her. I'd love to do a show like hers. I'm making a documentary this year about absent fathers, which will be hard hitting."

The 30-year-old star - who has just been announced as the new judge on British TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing' - also revealed that although she hopes she is still successful in 10 years time, she will settle for just being happy.

She told Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine: "I'll be 40, so maybe I'll be drowning my sorrows with a bottle of vodka! Only joking. I'd like to still be working but be more chilled out. I pray to God that I'll be in a good place and that I'll be optimistic about turning 50. And I like to think I'll have a family."
