Rapper Corey “C-Murder’’ Miller was convicted yesterday of second-degree murder for the 2002 shooting of a 16-year-old fan during a nightclub brawl, capping tumultuous jury deliberations at his second trial in the killing. A Louisiana jury reached a 10-2 verdict in its second day of deliberations. Jurors had reached the same verdict earlier in the day, but District Judge Hans Liljeberg ordered them back to the jury room for more deliberation because of a questionable vote. Ten votes are required for a second-degree murder conviction.

Hudson has a son
27-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson (above) gave birth to her first child, David Daniel Otunga Jr., on Monday, according to her publicist. He is named after her fiance, David Otunga. Last fall Hudson’s mother, brother, and nephew were slain in her native Chicago. Her sister’s estranged husband is charged with the killings.

Mona Lisa attacked
The Louvre Museum said yesterday that a Russian visitor hurled an empty terra cotta mug at the Mona Lisa. A museum spokesman said the canvas of Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece was undamaged in the attack last week, though the mug shattered. Small cracks appeared in the glass protecting the museum’s most popular possession, but they will soon be fixed. Paris police said the woman was taken to a psychiatric ward after the incident.
