While her husband was busy preparing for the Colts, Gisele Bundchen took a stroll in the Back Bay yesterday with Stuart Matsumoto, her helicopter pilot instructor. The supermodel, whose due date is believed to be next month, is seeking a pilot’s license. She has already passed the written exam.

Still walking the walk
It seems those reports of Aerosmith’s death were greatly exaggerated. Steven Tyler made a surprise appearance at Joe Perry’s gig at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York the other night and announced that he is not quitting the band. “I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith,’’ Tyler said. “Joe Perry, you are a man of many colors. But I, [expletive], am the rainbow!’’ Tyler joined the Joe Perry Project on a version of “Walk This Way.’’ Last week the flamboyant frontman told a reporter he was going to focus on “brand Tyler,’’ leading some people - including Perry - to believe he was done with Aerosmith. And maybe he is. The good vibes aside, Perry (who plays the House of Blues here Saturday) told Billboard.com last night that the band is eager to get back to work and “we’re not going to wait for Steven.’’

A smart idea
Local smarties have something new to get excited about: Today, WGBH will announce the creation of a local TV game show for high school students. “High School Quiz Show’’ will pit teams of students from 20 Massachusetts schools against one another, as they answer questions about history, science, literature, art, and other subjects. WGBH president Jon Abbott says the show, slated to premiere March 22, was inspired in part by the popularity of clean-cut kids from “High School Musical’’ and “Glee.’’ “We’re celebrating kids who are ready to work together,’’ Abbott told us. The half-hour weekly show will likely air early evenings and repeat on Channels 2 and 44. It will culminate in a championship in June. The 144 students have been cast; taping begins in January.

Linked to Lambert
If you believe the tabloids - and sometimes we do - Adam Lambert’s new boyfriend is singer Ferras Alqaisi, a former Berklee College of Music student. Lambert has denied that the two are a couple.

Her inbox is empty
An interesting tidbit about Janeane Garofalo - she doesn’t have an e-mail account. The comedian, who’s famous for “Reality Bites’’ and “24,’’ tells us that she stopped using e-mail long ago because it’s so addictive. “I was spending hours and hours. You can never get your arms around the e-mail. It’s just easier to talk to the person.’’ Garofalo, who appears at the Wilbur Theatre tomorrow as part of a double bill with her “Daily Show’’ pal Rob Riggle, has become a political activist the past few years and has been targeted by conservative radio hosts for her opinions about everything from the Middle East to the Boston Tea Party. Garofalo said she has grown used to being criticized and in some cases harassed for her beliefs. She said she finds the dialogue “invigorating,’’ although she admits that when you speak out, “you get to meet some of the worst people you’ve ever met.’’ Garofalo, who used to live in Boston, said she strongly believes that her protesters treat her with less respect because she’s a woman. They approach her on the street and try to intimidate her. She joked that she’s rarely bothered when she’s out with Riggle - mainly because he, as a beefy Marine Corps officer-turned comedian who served in Afghanistan and Kosovo, makes for the perfect bodyguard.

It’s official: Ted Baker’s in town
Ted Baker had its official opening on Newbury Street last night. Names on the guest list for the high-end retailer’s opening party included New England Revolution favorite Taylor Twellman and designer Dennis Duffy.

Carrying on King’s legacy
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s sister, Christine King Farris, dropped by BU with her granddaughter Farris Watkins and daughter Angela Watkins to tour the exhibition of MLK’s papers at the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center. Christine Farris and Angela Watkins participated in a roundtable discussion about Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and listened to Paul Rusesabagina, the subject of the film “Hotel Rwanda,’’ deliver the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Lecture.

A bad sign for Neko
When Neko Case finally stalked on stage at the Wilbur Theatre the other night, she was upset. “We were having a fight with the promoter, and I could not be angrier right now,’’ she told the crowd. Case was perturbed because the marquee outside the venue was blank. “You wouldn’t even know there was a show,’’ she fumed. The singer-songwriter quickly recovered and put on a stellar show. Afterward, she spent some time with Peter Wolf, on whose forthcoming CD she sings. Wolf arranged to have victuals from Via Matta delivered to the band’s bus.

Fox dumps ‘Dollhouse’
“Dollhouse,’’ the Fox show starring Boston actress Eliza Dushku, was canceled yesterday, says The Hollywood Reporter. Our condolences to Dushku and all who were fans of Joss Whedon’s sci-fi series.

Judd is honored
Harvard University grad student Ashley Judd was in Beverly Hills this week to receive the USA Today Hollywood Hero award for her work with YouthAIDS. Before the ceremony, the actress, who is studying public policy, talked to USA Today reporter Ann Oldenburg about what it’s like to be in Ivy Leaguer. “I’m trying to convince myself to get over the dream of straight A’s. Nobody cares. But I still have that undergraduate aggressive pride. I got a ‘check’ last week instead of a ‘check-plus,’ and I was really not pleased.’’ Judd also said her interaction with her fellow Kennedy School students was “bumpy at first.’’ “I’m really not a big deal,’’ she said, “but apparently they didn’t get the memo.’’

Kardashian a no-show
Kim Kardashian is not coming to Boston tomorrow. She was supposed to be in town to help Gypsy Bar celebrate its anniversary, but canceled the gig because of a “filming conflict.’’ Gypsy Bar says New York City’s DJ Roctakon and Montreal’s DJ Yossi will appear in her place. The party starts at 9 p.m., if you’re still interested.
