Hilfiger’s estate sells for $20m

Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger’s estate in Greenwich, Conn., has sold for $20 million, about $8 million below its original asking price. Sotheby’s International Realty says the 20,000-square-foot mansion is being purchased by a family who toured it in September. The mansion has eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a 2,000-bottle wine cellar, indoor basketball court, sauna, massage room with a waterfall, and home theater. Hilfiger purchased the home in 2005 for $18 million. It had been on the market since February 2008. (AP)

The Who will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl this season. Led by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, the rock band known for classic hits such as “Pinball Wizard’’ and “Baba O’Riley’’ will play Feb. 7 at Dolphin Stadium in Miami. (AP)

Leno halts show’s ratings slide

‘Superior Donuts’ to close Jan. 3

The comedy-drama “Superior Donuts’’ by Tracy Letts is closing up shop on Broadway. Producer Jeffrey Richards said the show will fold Jan. 3 after a three-month run. It stars Michael McKean as the owner of a rundown Chicago doughnut shop and Jon Michael Hill as a young employee. (AP)
