Boston-born UFC fighter John “Doomsday’’ Howard served as a celebrity judge at the BareBonesGear model search at Game On! over the weekend. In case you’re wondering, BareBonesGear is a clothing line specializing in T-shirts and hoodies. Joining Howard were hoodie experts Christian Fauria, formerly of the Patriots, and UFC fighter Damien “The Omen’’ Trites.
Sticky situation
Speaking of super fans . . . a woman was found stuck in a crawl space of the Orpheum Theatre after the Tegan and Sara show on Saturday night (see review, G page 13). For those who don’t know, Tegan and Sara is a Canadian indie rock act featuring twins Tegan and Sara Quin. According to Boston Police, the woman was stuck between a wall and a pipe and was extracted by emergency personnel after midnight yesterday. Once free, she was taken to Tufts Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Fire department spokesman Stephen MacDonald said emergency workers were on the scene for 20 minutes. It’s still unclear why the woman was in the crawl space. “I don’t know if it was a fan who tried to get in to see a show,’’ he said. “We don’t know.’’ The Orpheum is known for its nooks and crannies. Two years ago, Boston rock band Township hid out overnight at the venue so that members could get into a sold-out Neil Young show. . . . Tegan and Sara had a productive day in the Hub. Hours before the Orpheum gig, the duo played tunes for fans at a WFNX-sponsored party at the Ames hotel.
Netting donations for their charities
“Mad Fisherman’’ Charlie Moore and NESN’s Heidi Watney were just two of the personalities who helped Ken Casey and the Dropkick Murphys raise money at the Celebrity Bartending Party at McGreevy’s on Saturday. The event benefited the Hope for Haiti Children’s Center and the Dropkicks Murphys’ Claddaugh Fund.
No rest for Shore, and it’s no act
Comedian Pauly Shore sure managed to make the rounds while he was in town to perform at the Wilbur Theatre over the weekend. After some local media appearances to hype his act, he was spotted at Faneuil Hall, where he ate cookies and heard Boston University’s Barbershop Sweethearts perform. He also dined at Carlo’s Cucina Italiana in Allston.
Happy V-Day
The Firehouse Center for the Arts’ production of “The Vagina Monologues’’ featured some special readers over the weekend. Taking part in Eve Ensler’s celebration of the female anatomy were Bay State first lady Diane Patrick and “Sopranos’’ actress (and occasional Boston Globe contributor) Marianne Leone Cooper, wife of Chris Cooper. The performances benefited the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center for domestic violence in Newburyport. Notables in the audience included crisis center director Suzanne Dubus, her brother, “House of Sand and Fog’’ author Andre Dubus III, and his wife, Fontaine.
Leonardo salutes Gisele
Asked about Gisele Bundchen during an interview to promote his new Boston-based film, “Shutter Island,’’ Leonardo DiCaprio told a reporter with “Fantástico,’’ a “60 Minutes’’-style show in Brazil, that he wishes his supermodel ex the best. “She seems very happy right now,’’ DiCaprio (inset) said of Bundchen, who with her baby, Benjamin, was recently featured on the cover of the Brazilian magazine Quem. “It’s a beautiful thing.’’ Not surprisingly, DiCaprio also told the interviewer that he loves Brazil.Bravo stars at Mohegan
