Mexican-born actress Fernanda Romero and her husband were arrested yesterday for marriage fraud at their separate Los Angeles homes. The US attorney’s office contends that Romero paid Kent Ross to marry her in 2005 so she could become a US resident. Authorities said the two, who are both 28, never lived together; that she submitted phony documents with her green card application; and that a month after the marriage she began dating a fashion photographer and eventually lived with him.
An Ohio Tea Party group will offer refunds after Fox News host Sean Hannity canceled an appearance at its rally. The Cincinnati Tea Party said some 10,000 people turned out Thursday for the rally along with a book-signing and taping of Hannity’s TV show at the University of Cincinnati arena. Fox News said Hannity’s appearance was canceled over admission fees, but organizers said the fees, which started at $5, were only to help cover costs of the event.
Bret Michaels is recovering from his emergency appendectomy at a private care facility for diabetics. A statement on the 47-year-old rocker’s website says the surgery on Monday went well and doctors are optimistic that the former Poison frontman will make a full recovery.
A lawsuit filed by former TMZ photographer Josh Levine, who accused Woody Harrelson of attacking him, was dismissed after the two reached a settlement, according to court records.
