If you watched last night’s episode of “Glee’’ — and based on that show’s ratings, we assume you did — you heard the sweet sounds of the Tufts University male a cappella group the Beelzebubs, who provided background vocals for the cover of Katy Perry’s hit “Teenage Dream.’’ The ’Bubs — who made it to the final three on the first season of last year’s a cappella reality show “The Sing-Off’’ (produced by local film guy Sam Weisman) — recorded vocals for the episode in New York in September. Of course, the real ’Bubs weren’t featured on screen. Their recording was lip-synched by the very cute (and fictional) Dalton Academy Warblers. We hear that the group will continue to record songs for the show, which, of course, is produced by Newton’s own Brad Falchuk.
