Students at Boston College High School got a visit yesterday from Paul Guilfoyle, a BC High grad who plays Captain Jim Brass on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.’’ Guilfoyle, who was joined by his old BC pals Thomas Guiney and Rich Fahey, spoke to students about the importance of the arts. Guilfoyle said he didn’t plan to encourage the students to go into acting — “That’s a slippery slope,’’ he told us, laughing — but he did want to encourage them to take risks and to do creative things in the workplace. Guilfoyle said that he and his pals Guiney and Fahey spent much of the morning reminiscing about the plays they were in back in high school. They even teased him about getting better parts. “They’re a little bit chagrined at — like, why didn’t they get it.’’ The three friends brought their former BC High teacher Bill Burke to introduce them at the event.
