Writer Ken Dooley is proud of the one-man show he wrote about his legendary friend, the late Red Auerbach. But Dooley told us yesterday that he will be especially humbled when Auerbach’s family visits the Park Theatre in Cranston, R.I., to see the play Saturday. Dooley expects Red’s daughter Nancy Auerbach Collins, granddaughter Julie Auerbach Flieger, and some of his great-grandchildren to attend. Celtics alums could also be in the crowd. “You never know with Bill Russell,’’ Dooley said, laughing. “I invited him.’’ “The Auerbach Dynasty,’’ starring Jeff Gill, focuses on Red’s contribution to the NBA, including his drafting the first black player in the league’s history. Dooley previously worked with Auerbach on a documentary and a book. “I knew Red for about 24 years,’’ he said. How did they meet? “[Globe writer] Bob Ryan introduced us.’’
