All hail ‘The Pale King’
Amherst grad David Foster Wallace’s unfinished novel, “The Pale King,’’ had its release on Friday. To celebrate, Newtonville Books had a party in the late writer’s honor on Saturday afternoon. Local author and Harvard’s creative writing director Bret Anthony Johnston (right) was tapped to read excerpts from the book to local Wallace fans who gathered at the bar Union Street. Attendees included Amber Lee of the literary magazine Redivider and Eugenio Volpe of Post Road magazine.
