Burns honored

Filmmaker Ken Burns was honored at the New England Historic Genealogical Society’s Annual Dinner, which was held Friday night at the Four Seasons. The society — which recently figured out that Ellen DeGeneres is related to Dorchester’s Mark Wahlberg and that Sarah Jessica Parker’s ancestors were involved in the Salem Witch Trials — revealed at Friday’s event that Burns is related to Abraham Lincoln, Cole Porter, Bill Gates, and Prince William (Burns is William’s 12th cousin three times removed).
