A nice crowd turned out for the opening of the New England Historic Genealogical Society’s new garden entrance on Newbury Street earlier this week. Celebrating the new garden was the green-thumbed Carolyn Lynch, who spearheaded the project, Boston Athenaeum director Paula Matthews, Michele Messino of the Newbury Street League, and Holly and David McGrath of the Highland Street Foundation.
