Apparently even Ernie Boch Jr. needs to get his car serviced now and then. Boch’s limo overheated this week near Cleveland Circle, and the Boston Fire Department was summoned to extinguish the car’s smoldering engine. “There were no huge flames,’’ fire department spokesman Steve MacDonald said. “[Firefighters] were only there for a few minutes and put some water on the engine.’’ We’re told Boch, one of New England’s leading car dealers, was on his way to a taping of “Greater Boston’’ to hype his new book, “Boch Rock Facts: A Cool Collection of Rock ’n’ Roll Memories.’’ He declined to talk about the incident yesterday.
