The original Captain Kirk - William Shatner - will make an appearance at this weekend’s Star Trek convention at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge. Other “Star Trek’’ celebrities on the guest list include Dominic Keating (Lieutenant Malcolm Reed), Jeffrey Combs (Commander Shran), and Gwynyth Walsh (Klingon B’Etor). Shatner’s appearance is Sunday, but there are details about the rest of the celeb visits online at www.creationent.com. The convention celebrates the 45th anniversary of the sci-fi TV series with panels, performances, and, of course, costumes. We have to wonder whether actress Mila Kunis - who’s in town to film the comedy “Ted’’ - will also stop by. In the August 2011 issue of GQ, Kunis says she’s a huge fan of Shatner (he was her costar in 2002’s “American Psycho 2’’), and that she’s a big Trekkie. “I got into it in my late teens - 18, 19, 20,’’ she told the magazine. “I got into it later than most people. But let’s not talk about it in the past tense. I’m still a ‘Star Trek’ fan. You never stop being one.’’
