Tim Thomas's trophy case is getting crowded. The Bruins goalie, who walked away with the Conn Smythe and Vezina trophies after the B's Stanley Cup win, took home two ESPY Awards this week - for best championship performance and best NHL player. ''Everyone on our team contributed, and that's why I'm standing here,'' said Thomas (inset right with Jay Leno). Former BC linebacker Mark Herzlich won the ESPY for best comeback and ''The Fighter'' won for best sports movie. And then there's former Northeastern standout J.J. Barea, who was ridiculed for his height - he's not quite 6 feet tall - even as his Dallas Mavericks won the ESPY for best team. ''You know, every guy on this team, [critics] told me, 'We should trade him, get rid of him, they're too old ..... who let the baby on the court,'.'' Mavs owner Mark Cuban said, pointing at Barea, during his acceptance speech. But maybe size doesn't matter: Barea is reportedly dating former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera.

Partying with the Cup

Boston-based Zipcar recently went public and to celebrate the company hosted a dinner at Towne Stove and Spirit. Guests included Towne owner Patrick Lyons, chef Lydia Shire, Lyons Group exec Steve Coyle, Bruins Hall of Famer Cam Neely, Liberty Hotel's Dick Friedman, Celtics managing partner Jim Pallotta, and the Stanley Cup. ..... The well-traveled chalice also made an appearance at Scampo, where admirers included Shire's sous chef son Alex Pineda, General Catalyst Partners cofounder David Fialkow, clothier Alan Bilzerian, and Lyndon Byers. ..... Neely also brought the Cup to Nebo, which is owned by Pallotta's sisters Carla and Christine. ..... Former Pats safety Lawyer Milloy had dinner with Joe Kane and Stars on Hingham Harbor GM Brian Barry at Kane's new restaurant Red Lantern the other night.
