Channel 7 evening anchor Matt Lorch is leaving the station next month for a job in his native Seattle. Lorch, whose contract expires next month, currently anchors the 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. newscasts and contributed as a reporter for WHDH-TV’s 11 p.m. newscast. Lorch, who has been with WHDH since 2006, will be the lead anchor at the Fox affiliate in Seattle. “It has always been a goal for him to get back home, and he has that opportunity now,’’ said Chris Wayland, WHDH’s vice president and general manager. “We are happy for him.’’ Lorch’s departure comes a week after WHDH’s main anchor, Frances Rivera, announced she was leaving the station after 10 years to take a morning anchor job at WPIX-TV (Channel 11) in New York.
