A big Boston night for Sting

Word is UNICEF will honor Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, at its annual Children’s Champion Award Dinner in Boston Oct. 20. Sting and Styler, a UNICEF ambassador in the UK, are the founders of Rainforest Foundation International, which has partnered with UNICEF to bring clean water to families in the Ecuadorian rainforest. (Past Children’s Champion Award recipients include Nelson Mandela, Stephen Stills, Queen Noor, Princess Caroline of Monaco, and David Ortiz.) Co-chairing this year’s event are Alli and Bill Achtmeyer, Barrie and Kevin Landry, and Bobby and Elaine Sager. Trumpeter Chris Botti will perform.
