It was a bright and busy day at Fenway Park yesterday as some of the Red Sox wives, including Holly Beckett and Lindsay Buchholz, helped out at the Jimmy Fund Walk Hero Match Party, where heroes, their families, and support teams got to meet and have lunch. They also created inspirational posters to be displayed at the walk’s Copley Square finish line Sept. 18. . . . “Mad Men’’ star and Massachusetts native John Slattery threw out the first pitch yesterday before the Sox beat the Mariners. The actor - who recently starred with fellow Sox fan Matt Damon in “The Adjustment Bureau’’ - donated a “Mad Men’’ set visit to yesterday’s Picnic in the Park auction, which was hosted by Emmy-nominated Sox diehard Mike O’Malley of “Glee’’ and the soon-to-be released Miley Cyrus movie “So Undercover.’’
