Olives isn’t the only Todd English restaurant whose future is up in the air. Since spring there’s been a lot of speculation, mostly online, about Kingfish Hall, English’s seafood restaurant at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Some have said the celebrity chef intends to turn it into a Belgian beer bar. He does not. While it will involve beer, the exact concept has not been determined. “The goal is to have something that complements historic Faneuil Hall and is as welcoming to those visiting our city as it is inviting to our full-time neighbors and fellow Bostonians,’’ a flack for English said in an e-mail yesterday. Olives, meanwhile, remains closed. The Boston Licensing Board has given English until Sept. 13 to reopen the Charlestown restaurant, which was gutted by a grease fire more than a year ago.
