Kings of Leon singer Caleb Followill is suffering from vocal problems and exhaustion, forcing the band yesterday to cancel its US tour, according to a band statement. The cancellation comes three days after Followill left the stage mid-show in Dallas due to what he called “excessive’’ and “unbearable’’ heat. However, brother Jared Followill tweeted that the band has “internal sicknesses & problems’’ that go beyond dehydration. Among canceled shows was an Aug. 19 date at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. Barker to the rescue

Former “Price Is Right’’ host Bob Barker has donated $230,000 to Chimp Haven in Keithville, La., to expand the 200-acre habitat to make room for five chimpanzees and care for them for one year. Barker said the chimps came from a Texas research laboratory that went bankrupt. (AP)
