Doing something to help towns hit by tornadoes

Foxborough’s own Joanna “JoJo’’ Levesque was the featured act at a Teen Choice Awards after-party thrown by the Framingham-based office supply giant Staples. DoSomething.org volunteers filled backpacks with school supplies as celebrities including singer Jason Derulo, actress Olivia Munn, and actor Nolan Gould helped out. Karen Pevenstein, Staples’ flame-haired flack, says thousands of backpacks will be distributed to Boys & Girls Club members in communities affected by this year’s tornadoes, including Springfield.
