The Boston Police Department is still on the hunt for the owner of an engagement ring that was found near Fenway Park and turned into District 14 by a very, very good Samaritan the other night. Police spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll wouldn’t tell us what the bauble looks like - whether it’s on par with the 6-carat ring Ben Affleck gave to Jennifer Lopez back in the day or a more down-to-earth and diminutive sparkler. Driscoll said: “Let’s put it this way: If you’re missing it, and you know it’s yours, you should be able to describe it.’’ Driscoll said that if the owner of the ring doesn’t come forward, it will be stored by the BPD for a year and then will become property of that anonymous good Samaritan.
