Rhode Islander John Davis has donated more than $1 million ($1,050,000 to be exact) to start the Cam Neely and John Davis Myeloma Fund, which will support Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care research of multiple myeloma. The 67-year-old Davis says, in a press release, “As a multiple myeloma patient myself, I know how important every research dollar is. The new Cam Neely and John Davis Myeloma Fund embodies the hope we all have for a cancer-free future.’’ The donation was completed a few days ago. Davis says it was prompted by the Stanley Cup win. So, thanks Bruins.
