BPL’s Map Center coming together

The Boston Public Library’s Norman B. Leventhal Map Center doesn’t open until October, but the stained glass map over the entrance to the new section of the building is just about finished. On Monday, workers were at the BPL to help install Lyn Hovey Studio’s glass reproduction of Richard Williams’s 1775 Revolutionary War map. Janet Spitz, executive director of the Map Center, was there to pose near the new piece.
