J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf and his pal David Bieber, an exec at the Phoenix Media Group, checked out a performance by The David Wax Museum at the Museum of Fine Arts on Wednesday night. Our spies tell us that the “Love Stinks’’ singer got stopped by a museum worker who asked him for his name. “Wolf,’’ Wolf responded, humbly. We have to wonder: Who in Boston doesn’t recognize Peter Wolf (or his hair)?
