Nectar’s a sweet spot on Vineyard

Carly Simon joined her son, Ben Taylor, and his friend John Forte at Nectar’s on Martha’s Vineyard the other night. The show was a fund-raiser for the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard and the Rockhouse Foundation. Forte is the singer-rapper-producer-Phillips Exeter grad who was arrested on drug charges in 2000 and pardoned - thanks in part to the efforts of Carly - by President George W. Bush in 2008. Appearing on the Vineyard radio station WMVY last week, Forte made light of his stint in prison, referring to it as time spent in a “Jacuzzi.’’
