Newton homey Eli Roth was feted at the Italian Horror Festival over the weekend. Roth, whose contributions to scary cinema include “Cabin Fever’’ and Hostel,’’ won the Neptune Award. The film fest also featured some oddball entertainment. “No horror film festival is complete without a . . . zombie Lady Gaga show,’’ tweeted Roth. While in Nettuno, the director had dinner with Italian filmmaker Ruggero Deodato, director of the cult classic “Cannibal Holocaust.’’
