Guster turns sampling into shelter donation

The guys from the Tufts University-bred band Guster confirm that their 1997 song “Rocketship’’ is sampled on “Pot of Gold,’’ a new track from rapper Game and hip-hop star Chris Brown. Guster members tell fans on their Facebook page that they will donate money that they earn from the single to the Crittenton Women’s Union shelter in Boston.
