Young Bruins fan Tim Burke got a special treat yesterday: a visit from the Stanley Cup. Burke, an 11-year-old who’s getting treated for leukemia at Dana-Farber, was hooked up with the Cup through friends of friends and was able to celebrate the Cup - and the Bruins win - with pals and family in South Boston. Tim’s uncle Tom tells us that his nephew was thrilled to get his hands on the prize and share the day with his peers (including Chris Gallagher). “He was absolutely ecstatic,’’ Tom said of Tim. “He’s one of those kids who can rattle off stats.’’ Tom did mention that Tim’s favorite player is Tuukka Rask and that his nephew was slightly annoyed during the playoffs that Tim Thomas got all of the attention. Fair enough, Tim. Friends and family of Tim “the Tuukka fan’’ Burke will gather for a benefit for the family on Sept. 30 at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers headquarters in Boston.
