Ayla Brown plays for patients

We’re told Ayla Brown, the aspiring singer whose dad happens to be Senator Scott Brown, will host Mass. Eye and Ear’s second annual Sense-ation! Gala Oct. 18 at the Renaissance Boston Hotel. Guitar in hand, the “American Idol’’ alum stopped by the hospital the other day, and played a few tunes for patients. Ayla will be joined at this year’s Sense-ation event by New Kid Joey McIntyre, whose son Rhys was born with severe hearing loss.
