Local actors alerted to auditions for “Trending’’ may be wondering what it is. We know. The Boston-based TV pilot is an Emerson College production intended for the campus community. But here’s the interesting part: It’s being filmed by Emerson alum Kevin Bright and some of his students. Bright, a Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Emerson, is also the former co-producer of “Friends,’’ “Veronica’s Closet,’’ and “In Living Color.’’ We’re told the show is part of Bright’s Development and Production of the Multi-Camera Sitcom class. . . . Emerson alum James DiSabatino, whose Roxy’s Grilled Cheese food truck almost won the Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race,’’ was at the Rose Kennedy Greenway yesterday giving away copies of “Llama Llama Red Pajama’’ as part of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record fund-raiser.
