Haverhill-bred “Dancing with the Stars’’ host Tom Bergeron winged back to Boston this week to see his friend and former boss, Greater Media CEO Peter Smyth , be honored with the Charles E. Rogerson Award for Community Service at Rogerson Communities’s gala. Guests at the Fairmont Copley Plaza included co-chairs Joe and Carolyn Campanelli , Michael Fish , Livingston Taylor , Dr. Gary Kearney , John Spooner , Ellen and Peter Zane , and Joyce Zakim .
