Jessica Simpson names baby Ace Knute, Twitterverse erupts
Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby boy Sunday and the baby's name is drawing criticism on Twitter (just like another celebrity couple's baby name choice from last week. Ahem, North West).
The 32-year-old singer and "Fashion Star" mentor gave birth via C-section to Ace Knute. The baby's middle name honors his father Eric Johnson's Swedish grandfather, reports People.com.
We took a peek at some tweets with the hashtag #AceKnute. Cue the sarcasm ...
FULL ENTRYOprah regains top honors on Forbes 100 most powerful celebrities list
Oprah Winfrey reportedly took home $77 million between June 2012 and June 2013, so we can see why the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) maven is back on top of the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 most powerful list.
Winfrey wasn't the top earner on the celebrity list, though. Unlike some of the other Forbes lineups, this one measures a star's fame as well as wealth. Winfrey's impact on society, presence in social media, as well as several other factors were considered in the decision, according to the magazine's website.
Lady Gaga came in second, Steven Spielberg landed third, Beyonce in fourth, and Madonna in fifth.
Who didn't make the list? Brad Pitt, Britney Spears, and Johnny Depp. Are you surprised? Let us know in the comments.

Katy Perry, John Mayer spotted in NYC, following still 'madly in love' Vogue reveal
Katy Perry was spotted in New York City last night holding hands with ex-beau John Mayer while exiting a party at the Waldorf Astoria. The Daily Mail released the snaps of the "Wide Awake" songstress and her "Paper Doll" crooner leaving the Friars Club Roast of Don Rickles, clutching a tiny Tiffany & Co. bag. E! Online also noted the exes were spotted by photographers at both the Greenwich and Bowery Hotels in New York Sunday night.
Just last month, Perry was rumored to be linked to "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson after the two were also spotted at the Bowery by Hollywood Life. However, Perry seemed set the record straight when she revealed in the July issue of Vogue that she is still 'madly in love with' the 35-year-old Mayer.
The two were first rumored to be dating in August 2012 after they were spotted by E! on a night out in L.A., but Mayer confirmed their split on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" back in April. "I've been much happier since then," he told the talk show host.
E! first reported their alleged reunion over Memorial Day weekend when they were said to be "hanging out" at a party hosted by Perry.
Perry split from 38-year-old comedian Russell Brand in February 2012. She told Vogue Brand texted her in December 2011 requesting a divorce. The two were married in 2010.
No official comment on the rumored relationship has been released from either artists' camps.

Will Paula Deen lose her QVC deal?
Embattled celebrity chef Paula Deen was fired from the Food Network last week. And now QVC may part ways with her as well. The network is going public with concerns about the chef.
A representative from QVC, which sells her cookware, released this statement yesterday to People.com:
QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior. We are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen, and in the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC.
Deen, 66, and her brother Bubba Hiers are being sued for discrimination by a former manager of their restaurant, Lisa Jackson. Jackson says she was sexually harassed and worked in a hostile environment full of racial slurs, reports the Associated Press.
The controversy exploded after court documents filed last week revealed that Deen's answer under oath as to whether she used the N-word was, "Yes, of course." Then she added, "It's been a very long time."
Deen posted video apologies to YouTube on Friday.
Deen was a no-show on Friday's "Today" show, where she was supposed to sit down with Matt Lauer for a candid interview about her past use of racial slurs.
But many of Deen's fans are backing the chef. According to US Weekly, more than 29,000 people have liked the Facebook page, "Support Paula Deen," and are demanding that her Food Network contract renewed.
Do you think the Food Network should have fired her? Do you think QVC should stop selling her cookware?

Kim Kardashian names baby North West, Twitter erupts
We thought for sure it would be Karrie or Kimberly (right?).
But Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their baby girl, born June 15, North West. TMZ first reported it Thursday night, citing the birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai hospital. Find out why Kardashian is still in the hospital, courtesy of People.com.
The couple will call the baby "Nori" for short, reports Us Weekly. The world is talking about the unique name choice and Twitter is ablaze with comments.
Do you think this will be mentioned on the late night talk shows tonight? The joke writers can perhaps take some inspiration from the many jokes flooding Twitter under the hashtag #NorthWest today (which is trending, of course). Some tweeps are even posting photos of a compass, and joking that it's the baby's first pic.
Check out some of the tweets:

Watch: Russell Brand takes over 'Morning Joe'
Actor and comedian Russell Brand went on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' to discuss his comedy tour 'The Messiah Complex,'' and wound up taking over the show.
The interview went downhill when co-host Mika Brzezinski introduced Brand: "Joining us now, he's a really big deal. I'm told this, I'm not very pop cultured, I'm sorry, comedian, movie star, author and host of the show Brand X: Russell Brand."
The comedian grew even more irritated when Brzezinski referred to him in third person saying, "This is my first Brand experience. It's not listening to him, it's the experience."
"You're talking about me as if I'm not here, as if I'm an extra-terrestrial!" Brand exclaimed. "You shouldn't say 'he' when a person is present. You should refer to the person by their name. That is basic good manners. Is this what you all do for a living?"
Brand later tweeted:

Rumors swirl about Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's baby name
Kai? Kaidence? Something with a K?
We still can't figure out what the baby girl's name is -- maybe because parents Kim and Kanye haven't named her yet. Sources say that the couple is close to coming up with something suitable for the newest addition to the family, and that it could, perhaps, start with a K (Kanye's name falls right in line).
Kardashian gave birth to her daughter, the first child for her and boyfriend West, on Saturday.
Splash News is reporting that the five-weeks-early baby could have the middle name "Georgia," which could be linked to Kardashian's late father, George.
No one seems to know what the real story is yet, but we're having fun guessing and making up our own names for now. Watch the video above and then tell us what you think the baby's name should be by adding to the comments.
And for those of you who are worried that you won't be able to keep up with your Kardashians any more, have no fear: Khloe said that the family's reality show is currently filming its next season and will wrap in September.
Nigella Lawson's husband admits to assault
Celeb chef Nigella Lawson's husband, art collector Charles Saatchi, voluntarily accepted an assault caution from British authorities after The Mirror leaked questionable photos of the couple Sunday. The Brit paper's Sunday People edition released images of Saatchi with his hands clasped around his 53-year-old wife's neck while dining at a London restaurant on June 9.
A detailed account of the alleged interaction between the 70-year-old and Lawson was also reported in the publication, stating:
Saatchi launched a tirade of angry words. Four times he grasped her around the neck with Nigella, 53, looking powerless and petrified. At first he used only his left hand, then both. At one stage he tweaked her nose then pushed both hands in her face. Twice Nigella jerked her head backwards as if in fear.
According to E! News, the advertising mogul "voluntarily attended a central London police station and accepted a caution for assault," after an investigation regarding the photos was carried out by the Community Safety Unity at Westminster.
While Saatchi originally dismissed the photos as a "playful tiff," he willingly accepted the charges after public outrage escalated Monday.
The caution isn't the same as an official charge, but according to Reuters:
Under English law, a caution can be given to an adult who admits a minor offence and this is not a criminal conviction but can be used as evidence of bad character in court for another crime. The suspect can be arrested or charged if they do not agree to be cautioned.
Lawson's rep has yet to release a statement but the chef was spotted leaving their shared home since the incident.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, seen here at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala benefit in New York on May 6, have reportedly had a newborn girl.
What will Kim Kardashian and Kanye West name their newborn daughter?
That's the big question now, after the super couple reportedly welcomed a baby girl today at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, according to multiple sources. The baby was due July 11, but Kardashian "felt sick" last night and went into labor and West left a record-listening party to be by her side. TMZ reports that it was a natural childbirth. The pair revealed the gender of the baby on a recent episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." This is the first child for Kardashian and West.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux wedding on hold?
What's holding up the wedding between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?
Apparently they've got a few house projects to complete. And when your house is a $21 million estate in L.A.'s Bel Air neighborhood, the projects aren't small.
After the couple got engaged 10 months ago, wedding plans were soon in full swing. Wedding bands were being designed, Aniston was deciding on a dress, and she even had her eye on a date this spring, according to this report by People.com. Now construction delays on the mansion and new acting projects have jammed up their schedules to the point that "wedding talk has stopped" a source tells People.com.
Do you think the couple will ever say "I do"?

Emergency dispatch call for Paris Jackson released
The emergency dispatch call from 15-year-old Paris Jackson's alleged suicide attempt last week was released yesterday.

Joan Rivers upset she can't bash Angelina Jolie anymore
"E! Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers is celebrating her 80th birthday Saturday, kicking off a "takeover" of episodes on the celeb cable network, but did she get everything she wanted this year?
Apparently not. The snarky fashion critic told E! she was pretty bummed out that Angelina Jolie is now off limits from her wrath due to her recent preventive double mastectomy.
"It affected me so much I took three jokes out about her in my act. Do you understand how upsetting that is?" she said before taking two extra expletive stabs at the actress.
However, the crass Brooklyn-born comedian was sure to also commend the Oscar-winner for her actions, adding, "I think what she did is absolutely, incredibly brave and wonderful for women and women's self-image ... She is someone every woman can look up to, saying, 'If she can do it, I can do it.'"

Simon Cowell gets egged
Simon Cowell, the reality TV judge known for his harsh honesty, was egged during the finale of his show, "Britain's Got Talent."
A woman rushed forward and started chucking eggs at the judges in the middle of a song performed by contestants Richard and Adam Johnson. Cowell then took off his jacket.
Who was the woman? She is 30-year-old Natalie Holt, either an instrumentalist in the orchestra, according to the E! News video report above, or a backup singer, according to this other E! News report. (We'll keep you posted if we find out more on that.)
Whatever her role in the show, she's now serving up an apology for her actions. Holt has released this statement: "I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do."

Is Justin Bieber going into space?

Justin Bieber has taken home a few moonman statues in the past, but is he about to become one himself?
Virgin Group founder/resident billionaire Richard Branson says Biebs and his manager Scooter Braun have signed up for an upcoming suborbital spaceflight on the Virgin Galactic.
Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!
— richardbranson (@richardbranson) June 5, 2013
The 19-year-old pop star has yet to reply or issue a public statement but E! News reports Braun tweeted, "I'm going to space momma!" before deleting the comment.
A ticket for a Virgin Galactic flight to outerspace rings in at a cool $250,000 per seat, according to E!, who also reported Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, and Steven Hawking as Biebs' potential travel companions. It might seem like a pretty penny to most of us, but it sounds like chump change for the Canadian pop star who clocked in at number three on Forbes Celebrity 100, earning $55 million as of May 2012.
What do you think of Bieber's potential flight to outerspace? Do you think Branson should have let the singer break his own news? Comment here.

Joe Simpson speaks out on racy Nick Lachey claims
Jessica Simpson's father, Joe, said he would "still have a beer" with his daughter's former husband, Nick Lachey, after the 98 Degrees front man trashed him on "Watch What Happens Live" last month. When host Andy Cohen had Lachey and his brother Drew on the Bravo talk show, he asked Nick, "What is the best thing about no longer having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law?"
Drew piped in first with a firm, "Everything!"
But Nick laughed it off, adding, "The best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law is I don't have to play grab-ass under the table on Easter Sunday."
The elder Lachey also added that it had been about "six years" since he last spoke to his ex-wife. "It was like another lifetime ago," he said.
The "Newlyweds" stars married in 2002 and later divorced in 2006. Lachey then wed Vanessa Minnillo in 2011 and celebrated the birth of their first child in 2012. Meanwhile, Jessica is expecting her second child with fiance Eric Johnson.
However, Joe seems to be taking the remark with stride. When approached by a TMZ camera crew outside West Hollywood's Greystone Manor with a gaggle of ladies, he told the gossip network: "I love Nick and I think he was a good husband to my daughter." He added that he would still grab a beer with the singer today, even though the comment caught him off guard.

"Becoming a grandad and grandmom while speaking for Jenna's mom, is a wonderful life experience. Emotional, cant stop smiling. Anxious to meet our grandchild and hug Jenna and Chan. They are an amazing couple and will be great parents. I'm very excited for everyone in each of our families."

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West baby gender revealed
Kim Kardashian was joined by sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, and mom, Kris, when her baby gender was revealed during the season premiere of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Sunday night. The 32-year-old reality star, who is expecting her first child with rapper Kanye West, laid back for an ultrasound as her visit to Dr. Paul Crane unveiled a "99-plus" percent chance that she is having a baby girl.
"Who doesn't want a girl? Like, they are the best," said Kim. "And I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted."
West was not in attendance for the baby gender reveal, but Khloe told Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM Friday morning that the father's absence was due to scheduling constraints.
"The baby was always in a position where you couldn’t tell the sex, and this time that you’re going to see on the show, [Kanye] was in London or Paris. He had a concert."
The 35-year-old first time father-to-be did make it to the family's lavish baby shower Sunday where the couple was very affectionate while noshing on brunch, according to People Magazine.
However, Kris's husband and "Keeping Up" regular Bruce Jenner sang a different tune during a May 31 Extra appearance when he told Maria Menounos that the rapper/baby daddy is rarely around.
"Actually, I have only met him once. He's never ... he's not around... He was in Paris the whole time writing, and he just hasn't been around," Jenner revealed while discussing the upcoming season of the E! reality show.
