Fashion hits, misses: Karolina Kurkova as Met Ball Barbie
Remember that time Marc Jacobs declared tuxedos "boring" and decided to wear an ankle-grazing lace tunic with white boxer shorts and rhinestone buckle pilgrim shoes? If not, that time actually happened last weekend at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City, where the designer walked the red carpet in Commes des Garcons. And yes, it was just as bad as it sounds.
But if you don't believe us, check out this week's fashion hits and misses, where Jacobs most certainly made our list, along with statuesque model Karolina Kurkova's polarizing Rachel Zoe creation (far left, pictured with Zoe), Natalie Portman's triumphant comeback, and two "Battleship" looks that definitely sunk.
