Kathie Lee Gifford's Martin Short mistake: host quizzes star about late wife
During NBC's "Today Show" on Wednesday, host Kathie Lee Gifford gave viewers a really awkward live TV interview when she asked guest Martin Short about his 36-year marriage to his wife, Nancy Dolman. Gifford continued to press the actor about how their union has thrived, while not mentioning that his spouse had died in 2010.
Gifford later apologized on air and sent an apologetic missive to @MartinShort on Twitter. However, the chatty host can't seem to catch a break, as ABC News points out that the Twitter account used to send the message is not the star's own Twitter account.
