Snooki of 'Jersey Shore' gives birth to a baby boy

Gym. Tan. Laundry. Diaper duty.
Nicole Polizzi, better known to the world as "Snooki," is now a mom.
The 24-year-old reality TV star of MTV's "Jersey Shore" delivered a 6-pound, 5-ounce baby boy named Lorenzo Dominic LaValle at just before 3 a.m. Sunday at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., reports MTV. The star is engaged to the baby's father, Jionni LaValle.

Within a couple of hours, Snooki took to Twitter to express her emotions, sending the following tweet:

I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic ! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE'S MY WORLD! ❤

MTV was quick to congratulate her, releasing this statement: "We couldn't be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy! We look forward to Lorenzo's first trip to the Jersey Shore and can't wait to see his first animal print onesie."

No word yet on how big of a part the new mom will play in the upcoming sixth season of "Jersey Shore," premiering Oct. 4, reports the AP.

In other baby news...new daddy Chris Pratt tweeted about his baby boy Jack's arrival this past weekend, reports E! Online. The "Parks and Recreation" star is married to Anna Faris.
