Shakira may have to tone down her hip-shaking for the next nine months.

The 35-year-old singer is pregnant with her 25-year-old boyfriend, Barcelona soccer star Gerard Pique.

Shakira posted a message on her web site: "As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days."

Fans hoping to see her at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend will have to wait.
