Sarah Palin served lunch at a rally for republican senatorial candidate Kirk Adams in August.

Former Alaska governor and republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin told People.com she is writing a fitness book.

Photos of Palin, 48, looking very thin have caused a stir online, reports People. But Palin insists she is just fine, telling People in an email, "Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!"

Would you take fitness advice from Sarah Palin?

And while we're on the subject of fitness and appearances....have you seen the latest photos of Matthew McConaughey?

Check them out at People.com. McConaughey has dropped 30 pounds for his next role in "The Dallas Buyers' Club," the true story of a man with AIDS.

See the photos of the "Magic Mike" star's transformation.

It's got to be tough for McConaughey to eat so little while his wife Camila is pregnant with their third child and eating for two.
